I cannot say enough about how wonderful Camp Gan Izzy is! I wanted my child, Hannah, to have some type of Jewish influence, and education, in a camp setting over the Summer and signed her up for Camp Gan Israel for the first time last year.

My daughter came home every evening gushing about how fantastic a time she had at camp! She not only learned a lot about her Judaism, but was treated as family. She made some wonderful new friends and absolutely loved, loved, loved the counselors! The children were kept very busy with all kinds of fun activities and crafts, and I feel like Hannah really learned a lot while she was having a “totally awesome” (her words!) time.

It is very rare in this day and age to be able to send your child somewhere where you know people truly care about them, listen to them and love them. Hannah has been to numerous other camps where she dreaded going each day, and some that even made her feel left out, even though there were more than triple the “campers” of Camp Gan Izzy.

At first, I had some concern about the differences Hannah would encounter between Chabad teachings and our own more Reformed household. Absolutely NOT an issue! Hannah was never made to feel “wrong” in her beliefs, and no one tried to persuade her to think or feel differently. The level of complete acceptance of others at this camp, regardless of their differences, and the overall “open arms” attitude both Hannah and I experienced at Camp Gan Israel will keep us coming back for as many years as it is offered! Thanks Camp Gan Izzy!!!!
